Carolyn Green - Melville MT - 406-537-4472 - The Green Ranch has been raising sheep for over 100 years. We have been raising purebred Targhee Sheep for over 35 years. Our ranch grows grass and weeds. We select our sheep to grow, reproduce and raise offspring in the habitat in which they live - and, we expect them to do it well! We use the National Sheep Improvement Program to help assess our progress in all areas of production. Our lambing percentage is around 175%. Our ewe flock fleeces consistently measure 21 to 22.0 microns.
